Though the Lakers were abysmal during Kobe’s final season, his last game stands as one of the most memorable send-offs in sports. His teammates almost certainly knew he wasn’t going to pass. In one final showing of the “Mamba Mentality,” Kobe recorded his sixth 60-point game on a staggering 50 (!!) field goal attempts – more than any other player in a single game in the 21st century.
The Kobe 11 “Mamba Day” serves as a canvas for celebrating many of Kobe’s defining moments, including the dates of his first and last NBA games, five championships, four All-Star MVPs, 18 All-Star appearances, his legendary 81-point performance, and more, all etched in gold. The pattern was originally offered as a customizable Nike By You option in 2016 (then known as NIKEiD), now returning as part of a more traditional retail release.
This is one of a few Kobe Bryant shoes dropping April 13th, joined by the Kobe 9 EM Protro “Steam” and Kobe 11 Elite Protro “Fade To Black.” Scroll back up to our Where to Buy section for the full store list.
