Evidently passed along by designer Heather Truong, this variation pulls from sticky rice baskets, with a lotus flower brand toward the heel and an “Ascend” on the tongue, connceting to the organization of the same name that represents the AAPI community at Nike.

Nike’s Samantha Maklang flexed the exclusive edition at a skate event centered on the Solar New Year, offering several angles of the inner circle variation. The strongest ties back to the general release version come with the gum soles and beige bamboo foundation, though the silverware flashes are here in spirit; the collar shifts into a shining cobalt tone for this F&F version. Elsewhere, proud green overlays and a magenta window at the quarter instantly mark these as a more expressive version of the Thai-inspired GR pair.
