In a post-SB Air Max 95 world, the effect may be somewhat lost to time, but we should give the Nike Air Max Ishod its flowers for bringing visible air into the skate world. Wair’s love for throwback basketball silhouettes and the Air Max icons of old gave way to the first NSB signature to bear the cushioning tech, something that still makes it a trailblazer years into its market run.

Beyond what inspires the actual tooling, it’s clear in the color stories that the Nike Air Max Ishod has explored which ones Wair is particular to. Following a “Court Purple” and a “Black Grape,” his evident predisposition to purple continues in comprehensive fashion, as this “Triple Purple” blends together lavender, violets, and indigos for a look that isn’t necessarily flooded, but still makes plenty of use of the royal shading. White tongues and turquoise traction just below the Air unit help break up that overwhelming treatment.

The Nike SB Air Max Ishod in this “Triple Purple” edition should be hitting Nike.com and partnering stores sometime in the coming weeks. Expect a $115 retail price once it makes landfall.
