One product of the ongoing 2000s revival: the Air Jordan 17 is back in syndication. Following “Lightning,” “UNC,” Infinite Archives, and Doernbecher releases, Jordan Brand has a number of new colorways and retros lined up for the seasons ahead, beginning with the Air Jordan 17 Low “Black Patent” in the latter half of 2026.
Early images reveal a patent finish across the side panels and toe, complemented by perforated leather around the tongue and collar. Semi-translucent blue rubber fills out the bulk of the outsole.
This marks a new colorway, but Jordan Brand did release a different all-black Air Jordan 17 Low during the model’s original 2002 run. The Jordan 17 doesn’t get the same widespread acclaim as the original 1 through 14, but selective retro treatment and limited releases in recent years have made the silhouette increasingly sought-after. Factor in the sneaker community’s enduring appetite for all-black footwear, and these could end up moving fairly quickly.
The Air Jordan 17 Low “Black Patent” is currently scheduled to release August 8th, 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced. Check out first-look images below and keep our Jordan Release Dates page handy for updates.
