It’s always darkest before the dawn, or at least that’s the ethos James Harden is aiming to achieve in the Cavaliers’ second-round bout against the Pistons. During the first two games in Little Caesars Arena, lowlights were abound for The Beard, ramping up “the chatter” surrounding the former MVP’s postseason shortcomings. In Game 3, it was that same man who secured Cleveland’s first victory in the series, finishing an efficient night from the field with nine straight points in the fourth quarter.
Perhaps this was written in the moment as soon as he pulled a never-before-seen pair out of the closet. Shown here is the adidas Harden Vol. 10 “Pink Lemonade,” the exact one he wore during that Cavs victory. Meeting jet black trim down the midline with champagne-colored exteriors, this marks a return to a colorway last seen on the Harden Vol. 4, though James has never shied away from a pink version of his kicks.
Bucking the hush-hush cadence that sneaker brands usually rely on for new product, adidas and Harden have been pretty transparent when it comes to what to expect from The Beard’s sneakers. Thus far, this is the first we’ve heard of the adidas Harden Vol. 10 “Pink Lemonade,” indicating that this variation will remain exclusive to the shooting guard.
