Andrew Rizzo Your neighborhood hypebeast has a new slide to go crazy over. Just weeks after getting into the loafer game with a surprising new hybrid silhouette, Bape is coming back out of the lab with an all-new slip-on featuring the Japanese brand’s iconic camo pattern.
Bape has dropped slides before, and more than its fair share of camo slides at that. But this marks the first time a camo pattern has been integrated into the hardware rather than applied as a mere print, by our count. The new Bape Slides stand out with molded camo across the upper for depth, including an identifiable ape motif on the forefoot. The outsole, while not fully pictured here, appears to borrow from the Bapesta with a radial heel and star-shaped forefoot traction. There’s an immediate comparison to be made to the Yeezy Slides as it pertains to the silhouette, probably a plus given the brands’ shared target audience.
