The all-black sneaker crowd is about to have another great option available, especially service workers whose jobs require all-day standing. The New Balance 993, regarded as one of the best-looking and most comfortable members of the Made in USA family, returns here in a quintessential “Triple Black” makeup for summer.

The 993 has taken on all-black colorways before, but this one carries a new SKU. These are about as straightforward as it gets, built on the 993’s usual mesh, leather, and suede composition with reflective yet still-black “N” logos. The only real contrast comes via white branding on the insoles. Hot take: in the $200+ range, these are far more practical than the “Black Cat” 4s… especially with some cream-colored laces.
