We recently broke down a set of “Knicks” AND1 PEs made for Jose Alvarado, a big moment for an iconic basketball brand looking to crack back into the mainstream hoops shoe scene. Now the spotlight shifts to OG Anunoby and Skechers, courtesy of a heartwarming interaction with a surprising face.
Daytime television icon Martha Stewart attended Game 2 of the Knicks’ Eastern Conference Finals a few weeks back and made a point to compliment OG’s Skechers SKX Nexus sneakers on her Instagram. And it looks like OG heard her. He and Skechers sent Martha his game-worn pair, now featuring his signature on the left shoe and a “Let’s Go Knicks!” message on the right.
Martha Stewart joined Skechers as a brand ambassador in 2022 and has since expanded her role with her own line, including sneakers, wedge sandals, and more. OG signed on with the brand in 2025, joining Joel Embiid and Julius Randle at the top of Skechers’ growing NBA roster. Not that it’s a game-changer, but the Martha Stewart back-and-forth is welcome visibility for a brand with high aspirations in the hoops space. And with OG and the Knicks facing their toughest challenge yet against Wemby and the Spurs in the NBA Finals, we’ll take all the good juju we can get.
