Devin pulls from Swoosh history again.

This Nike Book 2 Is Inspired By Foamposites

Devin Booker isn’t done teasing the Nike Book 2. Shortly after revealing the eye-catching “Tiger Camo” colorway during Nike’s annual Just Do It Day festivities in Beaverton, the Phoenix Suns star quietly provided a first look at another upcoming release—one that appears to pay homage to one of Nike Basketball’s most iconic franchises.

The newly surfaced Nike Book 2 is directly inspired by the legendary Air Foamposite One; it features a molded upper finished entirely in orange, creating a futuristic appearance reminiscent of the original Foams in 1997 and other iterations of the -posite line. As we’ve seen throughout the signature lineage, Devin has strong tendencies to refer back to sneaker history through his PEs that later hit retail.

Much like many of the Air Foamposite One’s most beloved colorways, the Book 2 pairs its vibrant molded shell with black on the interior lining, tongue, and midsole. An icy translucent outsole completes the package, further reinforcing the connection to the Foamposite aesthetic that became synonymous with Nike Basketball’s golden era of innovation.

While the original Foamposite is remembered for its rich royal blue color, Book opted for orange to stay in alignment with his Phoenix association. He was seen holding the pair as he stepped onto a private jet, while an additional teaser shoe is seen next to the Tiger Camo pair (see below). There should be more colorways of the Book 2 Foamposite to be revealed later this year, so stay tuned.
