Sneaker News Jordan Brand is bringing back a familiar look from the early days of its Player Exclusive era. A first look at the upcoming Air Jordan 12 “Bucks” has surfaced, revealing a colorway heavily inspired by the celebrated PE worn by Ray Allen during his time with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Originally created in 2004, Allen’s exclusive Air Jordan 12 remains one of the more recognizable team-inspired PEs from the pre-social media era, helping cement its place among Jordan collectors and basketball footwear enthusiasts alike.
The 2026 retail version stays true to the original formula with a clean white leather upper and a rich green mudguard wrapping the lower portion of the shoe, giving the release its unofficial “Bucks” nickname. Jordan Brand has, however, introduced one notable update via the metallic purple, almost iridescent finish to the metal eyelets as well as the mid-foot piece as well as the purple lettering on the tongue.
Of course, these do not feature Allen’s PE lettering the heel as these have no actual and official connection, but it’s clear that the Jumpman has focused in on the early-mid 2000s era of Retro releases and Player Exclusives for the modern day.
