Matt Varga It’s not often that we have overlap with Bloomberg’s front page, but as SpaceX became a publicly traded company, some employees’ sartorial choices provide just the opportunity.
Indeed, some of those in attendance at the company’s South Texas headquarters along founder Elon Musk switched their focus from stars or stocks to Swooshes. Acknowledging what was widely watched and expected to be a historic moment in both trading history and for the tech outfit, Musk rung the NASDAQ bell from that location. Though the multi-billion dollar man opted for more classic footwear, many donned a version of the Nike Tennis Classic with green bodies, white trim, and most importantly, a SpaceX logo on the heel.
It’s unclear whether these were specially made by Nike for this moment, or if SpaceX commissioned custom ones of their own volition. A highly similar colorway, sans the SpaceX call-out, is available now via Nike.com (link HERE). In any event, you can catch shots from HQ below.
