Once upon a time, you could’ve credibly understood New Balance’s catalog if you knew of their lifestyle staples and kept abreast of the latest developments in their performance running line. Yet the brand has been steadfast in charting new territory in this current era, essentially since the 550 made them a household name once again. Now, the athleisurists, the fashion girlies, the streetwear lovers, and the general public are all represented in the company’s scope.
And don’t forget the grandpas, too. We joke, but that’s essentially been the book on the New Balance Allerdale since it came to light, a “they go old, we go older” take on their dad shoe bona fides. Now more than a year into its life, the model has settled into becoming a tacit face of the Made in UK line, frequently pairing with the New Balance 991v2 for unspoken mini capsules. The New Balance Allerdale “White Pepper” leans on rather orthodox aesthetics overall, but pairing beige suede uppers and a tanned sole unit certainly makes for a clean enough combo.
The New Balance Allerdale “White Pepper” is listed on overseas retailers for a July 1st release. The silo’s standard $250 retail price is expected.
