Andrew Rizzo No Nike sneaker screams “college” quite like the Dunk, a reputation earned in the 1980s with the “Be True To Your School” launch and bolstered in the 2020s, when the model was practically inescapable on campuses across the country.
We’ll be the first to admit the model is in a bit of a lull right now, but there are certainly worse choices than a sneaker with over four decades of rich history behind it. If you’re hunting for a new pair, maybe for when you step back on campus this fall, this collegiate-leaning “Varsity Pack” might be one of your stronger options.
The pack draws from varsity jackets in a number of key ways. Quilted interiors mirror the lining of varsity jackets, while size tag-inspired Nike branding on the tongue tag nods to similar garment labels. Fabric Swooshes with stitched piping echo school pride patches, while stylized collegiate Nike branding lands on the backtab.
Two “Varsity Pack” colorways are en route as of this writing, “Sail/Fir/University Red/University Gold” and “Metallic Silver/Black/Sail/Metallic Silver.” Both are due out Fall 2026 for $130 in men’s sizes. See official images below if you’re a fan.
