When it comes to Air Force 1s, few people can appreciate the significance of a gifted pair quite like Jadakiss. The legendary Yonkers rapper recently took to social media to showcase an impressive collection of Nike Air Force 1s sent to him by Nike NYC, revealing several previously unseen designs alongside some of the silhouette’s most celebrated collaborations.
Among the biggest surprises was an unreleased Air Force 1 “NY vs. NY,” a tribute to New York City’s legendary basketball courts; the sneaker continues Nike’s long-running series inspired by the city’s outdoor basketball culture and features a white upper with bright neon yellow accents and the names of hallowed hoops ground on a ribbon that wraps the entire shoe.
Also appearing in the lineup was an upcoming Kith collaboration dubbed the “Reverse Linen,” a design that flips one of the most beloved Air Force 1 colorways ever created. Other notable sightings include the pink patent leather Air Force 1 that we previously previewed, joined by several additional patent leather executions that have yet to be formally introduced by Nike.
Surrounding them are some of the most influential Air Force 1 collaborations of recent years, including the Off-White Air Force 1 “Brooklyn,” the NIGO x Air Force 1 “LO2,” the Louis Vuitton x Air Force 1 in University Blue, and Lil Yachty’s Air Force 1 collaboration. Quite a haul for one of New York’s finest.
We’ll be sure to break each of these upcoming pairs down as we learn more.
