Has Mind mania finally subsided? That greatly depends on how you define the term. While the brand’s propulsion system may no longer be the wall-to-wall covered spectacle it once was, that’s likely a product of the neuroscience platform being a known commodity to wide audiences by now.

Even if there isn’t much new ground to break, successive colorways for both the Mind 001 slide and the Mind 002 sneakers are still selling out almost instantaneously, with no break in the resale premiums attached to either in sight. All that to say, it’s almost just as hard to test out the viral style as it was at the top of the year. All the same, the Swoosh continues forging ahead with fresh colorway options until we appraoch something closer to filling out all of that demand. A “Pink Smoke” overhaul for the Nike Mind 002 might be your next opportunity, kitting the silo’s synthetic uppers and the molded sole in tasteful wine red, breaking into burgundy down the laces and interior.
