The “Bin23” line began in 2010 and promised luxury takes on all models 1 through 23, though only four ended up releasing as part of that original run. The series finally resumed earlier this year with the Jordan 6, followed by the Jordan 3 in June. Today’s Jordan 8 marks the next step, while the highly anticipated Jordan 4 “Bin23” closes out this current chapter, likely arriving around the holiday season.
While unrecognizable from any other Jordan 8 in an almost monotone “Legion Pine” nubuck colorway, the “Bin23” edition traces back to the model’s origin. The West African art-inspired inner tongue pattern of the Jordan 8 “Playoffs” is redone as debossed detailing on the cross-straps, an element that feels distinctly new from something old. The wax seal “Bin23” logo appears on the left tongue, while the African pattern returns in color on the center portion of the outsole. The Jordan 8 side plates, usually consisting of bright accent graphics over TPU, are here rendered in Legion Pine nubuck to match the rest of the upper.
The Air Jordan 8 “Bin23” is limited to just 2,300 pairs, all individually numbered via a tag on the inner tongue. Keeping with tradition, the shoes also come with a dust bag and wooden shoe trees. Scroll back up to our Where to Buy section to get your raffle entries in.
