Yet like clockwork, our understanding of what Jordans are beyond that horizon continues to take shape, with another OG coming off the board to start 2027 via the Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian.”
Like those aforementioned retro peers, this returns to one of the most celebrated colorways for its silhouette, a clean navy/white split that helped bring the AJ12 to shelves during its market debut. However, despite those well-founded roots, it certainly hasn’t been one that Jordan Brand has reached for again and again, clearly eclipsed in the number of retro efforts by siblings like the “Taxi” or “Flu Game.” This will mark just the third release as a whole for the Jordan 12 “Obsidian,” and the first since a 2012 drop that marked its first ever revival.
Surely Jordan look-ahead veterans won’t be surprised, but word comes by way of @zsneakerheadz, confirming that the Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian” is queued up for a January 23rd, 2027 release date.
