Andrew Rizzo The 2000s are the new ’90s, a dominant aesthetic shift that’s swept across pop culture and, for our purposes, the prevailing sneaker trends of the modern era. For Jordan Brand, that’s shown up in two areas. The first is a renewed focus on models like the Air Jordan 17 and other silhouettes from the twilight of MJ’s career. The second is the brand’s growing list of bring-backs, with Jordan Brand continuing to tap 2000s colorways for their first-ever retro releases.
The latest from that realm is the women’s-exclusive Air Jordan 4 “Linen” from 2006, set to return June 2027 per new information shared by @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files. That should put to rest a complaint many had back in 2017, when the sneaker returned but only in Grade School sizing. The shoe shares a name with the Japan-exclusive Air Force 1 CO.JP “Linen” from 2001, although the two have essentially nothing to do with one another beyond the nickname.
While not technically part of the Lifestyle Series (LS) that birthed pairs like the “Tour Yellow” 4s, the style delivers clear street sensibilities through a tumbled white leather upper. A beige Light Sand shade does most of the heavy lifting elsewhere, while Border Blue lands on the tongue tag and Jumpman logos embedded within the heel.
All indications point to a proper retro featuring the same color blocking and material mix as the original. The biggest exception is the shape. While Air Jordan 4 releases from the 2000s were generally shorter and flatter, the model has since reverted to a more true-to-1989 build based on the mold introduced with the inaugural Nike SB x Air Jordan 4.
The Air Jordan 4 “Linen” is currently expected to release June 5th, 2027 in women’s sizing, with Preschool and Toddler sizes also possible. See detailed images of the 2006 release below to refresh your memory.
