Can’t a multinational corporation worth tens of billions of dollars have some fun every now and then? Despite its Colossus-like status in the industry, the Swoosh’s various design teams still carve out moments to let their hair down, and given the sheer scope of the Dunk Low’s catalog, it’s often the silhouette they look to in order to do so.
As alluded to in our title, the key touch here is some punny wordplay on the “Seal of Authenticity.” Leaning into retro branding overall in the Nike Sportswear tag, a jubilant pinniped appears on the insoles and tags next to that verified text. The rest of the shoe largely leans on that palette, as bright aquatics wash over shaggy suede uppers and white/red interplay in the spaces between. A solid gum sole unit rounds out this design for one more hit of timeless style.
