Sneaker News HNike schools are starting to unveil their latest Player Exclusives for the 2026 college football season, and the Texas Longhorns are taking formation next.
Texas has revealed its own edition of the Nike Vaporposite Pro, the football cleat that transforms the unmistakable molded upper of the Air Foamposite Pro into something built for the gridiron. Nike first brought the Vaporposite Pro to retail in late 2025, translating one of its most recognizable basketball designs into football footwear.
For 2026, Nike is using that Foamposite shell as a canvas for its college programs. We’ve already seen Florida State and LSU unveil school-specific pairs, with treatments ranging from patterns across the molded upper to team logos at the heel.
Texas keeps things relatively traditional via a predominantly white upper, allowing the school’s signature burnt orange/brown shade to take over the Swoosh, ankle collar, and cleated tooling underneath. A custom tongue label reading “TEXAS” completes the PE treatment that will be issued to athletes of the program only.
With more Nike-sponsored programs likely to reveal their own Vaporposite Pros as the college football season gets underway, expect the school-exclusive series to continue growing throughout the fall.
