Sneaker News Caitlin Clark returned to the WNBA Playoffs in a never-before-seen “Berry Fade” colorway of her upcoming Nike Caitlin 1 signature shoe.
The appearance marked Clark’s first postseason action since 2024 and provided Nike with another high-profile opportunity to preview her signature model ahead of its global launch. The Caitlin 1 officially hits stores on October 1st in the debut “Racer Blue” colorway, but Clark has continued to reveal additional looks on-court.
“Berry Fade” leans heavily into the gradient color-blocking that has become a defining visual element of the Caitlin 1. Bright red and purple blend across the upper, but Nike adds a clever twist by inverting the gradient between the two shoes. The left transitions from red to purple from the top down, while the right moves from purple to red.
Whether “Berry Fade” will eventually receive a retail release remains unclear. For now, it joins the growing assortment of Caitlin 1 colorways being debuted by Clark herself, and with the Fever staring down a 0-1 deficit against the powerhouse Las Vegas Aces, there many not be many more opportunities left this season.
