The Nike Air Force 1 Sews On Plaid Patches

Classic fall aesthetics in an unexpected execution.

The Nike Air Force 1 Sews On Plaid Patches

There’s a chill in the air, the leaves are changing, and the flannels can comfortably be pulled out of the closet once more. If you’d prefer your patterns on foot rather than up top, or you’re planning out something of a tartan tuxedo, the Nike Air Force 1 “Plaid” has you covered.

It’s a rather simple switch that brings this printed look to the Air Force 1, as this colorway begins with the classic “Triple Black” before swapping out the heel cup and the quarter panel for red/yellow/white geometry. Red also paints the Nike Air patch on the tongue to create some more cohesion before exiting this design. Of course, Bruce Kilgore’s design has already tried out this aesthetic with the Air Force 1 “Yellow Plaid,” though that shoe carried some tacit pop culture ties that this one lacks.

Regardless, you can look forward to the Nike Air Force 1 “Red Plaid” hitting shelves in the coming weeks, likely retailing for $125 in women’s sizing. Catch official images below; we’ll keep this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub up to date with the latest launch info as it comes to light.
