Outkast And The University Of Georgia Team Up With Nike For Collegiate Clothing Collection

The title of hip-hop’s foremost sneakerhead is as hotly contested as it crowded. Lil Yachty, DJ Khaled, Fat Joe; the list can go on and on forever (forever ever?) Instead of boldly assigning them any sort of award, we’ll say that both Andre 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast are well-documented Nike, Inc. fanatics, from the former appearing at all manner of events recently in the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” to Big Boi’s legendary love for the Air Force 1.

It’s why the initial rumors of the Outkast Air Force 1 gained such traction, printing the duo’s legacy on one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. Though we’ve heard no update on that potential project, André and Antwan make their official entry into the Nike canon with the UGA x Class Trip x Nike collection. Running across a variety of clothing silhouettes, Georgia pride is at the heart of this capsule, with additional help from Class Trip in lifting inspiration directly from Outkast’s style throughout the years.

The Nike x Outkast x Georgia clothing capsule already dropped via SNKRS US, with the $1,200 Destroyer Jacket, the Senior Hoodie, and the Crown Snapback Hat all selling out on launch day. However, proud ATLiens and other interested parties will have a few more chances to grab theirs. A wider launch via Nike.com and Nike partners in Atlanta on October 28th. A pop-up at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Georgia-Texas will follow on October 31st. The Georgia x Air Force 1 Low, shown below, is due out on October 29th.
