Matt Varga As we begin prepping year-end content, it’s crystal clear that Vans is among the biggest winners of 2026 in sneakers. Though the “Pearlized” moment that’s lit the way forward for the brand as a streetwear darling began in earnest in 2024, the California company has done a great job of maintaining the momentum from that bedazzled playbook and stretching it beyond just one series of color swaps. As we’ve turned the page to Fall/Winter, they’ve looked to do so with premium material partners, starting with a Harris Tweed link-up and now influencing the Pringle of Scotland x Vans collection.
For the uninitiated, we’re not talking chips here. Instead, it’s luxury brand Pringle in focus, a tentpole of British outerwear design and knitwear overall. The founder and brand were actually some of the first movers on argyle patterns, just one accomplishment for one of the brand’s longest-tenured, continuously operated fashion imprints.
All of those bonafides, including their love for Scottish wool and cashmere, very much influence what Pringle of Scotland and Vans cook up here. Spread across two pairs of the Slip-On, one of the Authentic, and one of the SK8 Hi, you can almost feel the fuzzy textures coating each pair. Leaning in that same direction, there’s a level of refinement and studiousness to the palettes chosen, toggling between white/black/tan on a Slip-On and Authentic before shifting to a more professorial navy/green/red on the SK8 Hi and the other Slip-On.
The Pringle of Scotland x Vans collection drops via Vans.com and select partnering retailers on November 10th. A $110 retail applies to the Slip-On and Authentic; the Sk8 Hi clocks in at $130. Peruse official image galleries of all four styles included below.
