While no longer celebrating its milestone 30th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 90 has repeatedly demonstrated that it isn’t falling into obscurity since the start of 2021. Set to return in the ever-coveted “Bacon” arrangement for Air Max Month 2021, Tinker Hatfield’s design has recently emerged in a “Barely Rose/Pink Oxford” style perfect for spring.
Mixed materials throughout the iconic upper indulge in shades of pink as have other Nike Sportswear icons released ahead summer. Overlays wedged in-between mesh bases and synthetic leather panels boast the darkest iteration of the rose tone, while various TPU accents across the upper deviate with their white makeup. Unlike a similarly-composed counterpart, the forthcoming Air Max forgoes any flower embroidery on the tongue in exchange for a diagonal-stripe pattern (insoles follow suit). Sole units mostly partake in a colorless aesthetic, but visible Air cushioning and detailing on the outsole bring some of the upper’s pink flair down below.
An official Nike.com release date is unknown, but this Air Max 90 is likely to launch before summer arrives. In any case, enjoy images of the shoes ahead.
