Sneaker News As the population of sneaker enthusiasts continue to converge at the Nike Dunk, the Swoosh has introduced a “City Market” concept, speaking to the silhouette acting as a meeting point for the culture. Spurning the classic two-toned leather colorways, Nike opts to splash out references to the brand’s earliest roots, decorating the upper with materials typically seen on large sacks of rice and coffee beans, while a standard nutrition label replaces the classic tongue while calling out Blue Ribbon Studio, a team dedicated to creating these types of energetic concepts for the brand’s most iconic sneakers.
Further setting this Dunk Low release apart is the hidden compartment at the tongue; we’ve seen the clandestine pockets used in a variety of other SB releases (particularly those of the 4/20 variety), but this version hides a recycled shopping bag that reads “Thank You For Caring”.
