Jasmine Tang Nike’s signature smiley-faced Swoosh has been iterated on a handful of apparel and footwear, becoming a fan-favorite stylization of the Nike logo. The happy face returns to grace the appropriately-named “Go The Extra Smile” Pack, consisting of a slew of popular picks such as the Nike Air Force 1. Next to join the collection is no other than the women’s-exclusive AF1 variant, the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow.
The pair starts with an all-white base comprised of a mix of pebbled leather and mesh. Overlapping Swooshes in black and yellow are emblazoned on the lateral side, forming the smile of the happy face. Black embroidered dots and curves construct the rest of the cartoon figure as a new way to demonstrate the iconic branding. The aforementioned yellow tints the mesh tongue and cracked leather heel tab for additional hints of fun color. As part of the new pack, the red insoles feature a special, transportation-inspired logo that says “Go the extra smile.” Translucent rubber around the perimeter of the outsole completes this fun take on an equally fun silhouette.
