“God’s favorite DJ,” DJ Clark Kent, has had his hand in sneaker culture for decades. With a design catalog boasting heavy hitters from Nike and adidas, the Brooklyn-born disc jockey has proven his taste level time and time again.
Recently, Serato tapped DJ Clark Kent to help it with an adidas Forum Mid collaboration in honor of the music company’s 20th anniversary. (The pair’s been three years in the works.) Clad predominantly in black, the high-quality adidas Originals proposition has been inspired by the vinyl records with which DJ Clark Kent and so many other began their journeys in DJing; sock-liners feature vinyl pressing details. Serato’s own original Scratch Live logo and the current DJ Pro logo are featured on right and left shoes, respectively. Co-branding appears on the tongue labels, marking the momentous partnership between two giants in their respective fields.
The pair isn’t dropping on adidas CONFIRMED – or at all for that matter – but you can enjoy images of the shoes ahead.
