We recently showed you a brand new Air Jordan 1 Mid that presented the classic black, red, and white in an artistic presentation. The famed wear-away look graced the upper, with the black paint scrubbed away to partially revealed a bright red layer underneath. Now, the same style has appeared on an Air Jordan 1 Low, but with a refreshing bright green.
As revealed by these official images, the “Wear Away” segments are limited to the toe-guard, quarter foxing, and the heel. It appears that the lace collar, ankle padding, and Swoosh remain a flat black hue. Based on these photos, it’s not entirely clear if the shoes arrive treated beforehand to give the worn-away appearance, or if they’re all black in order to give the wearer their own opportunity to erode the upper paint.
Stay tuned to find out as these are likely to hit Nike.com soon — and you can see for yourself.
