Sneaker News After an introductory drop exclusively at Paris Fashion Week in June, followed by a Japan-exclusive release in late July, the BEAMS x Paperboy x New Balance “Ice Boy” capsule is finally expected to launch stateside.
The two retail institutions joined forces on the iconic 1500 runner and the modern 920, applying an asymmetrical color-blocking in various grey shades that have long since been unofficial trademarks of the brand’s running shoe line. The 1500 model is delivered with a familiar mix of suedes, leathers, and mesh panels, with an icy light blue hue utilized on the quarter, interior lining, and the shadowing on the N-logo, with PB1500 embroidered on the heel. The 920 slightly differs as it selects a silver/grey to represent the “Ice Boy” concept.
An online launch of the 1500 ($250) and the 920 ($260) is scheduled for August 5th on NewBalance.com and select retailers.
