Plaids are all the rage this holiday season. Or at least that’s what The Swoosh has alluded to with its bevy of propositions lined with the Tartan textile. Connecting on seemingly every model in their wheelhouse – the Dunk High, Blazer Low and Air Jordan 1 – Bruce Kilgore’s iconic 1982 design is returning to the disparate texture after enjoying a crisp white Air Force 1 earlier this month.
Ditching its clad white composition for a light cream, the model renders smooth cracked leather across the entirety of the model minus its heel panel rendering the green, black and red plaid textile. Further accenting the brightened forefoot, jet black Swooshes work in tandem with nylon tongue tabs and its leather heel overlay respectively adorned with the established Off-White hue acting as the stitched branding. Underfoot, the midsole comes color-matched to its leather panels and laces fit with titular red “AIR” text while the silhouette’s tread concludes in a vintage gum bottom.

In other news regarding the brand’s 40th anniversary silhouette, the Air Force 1 “Somos Familia” additionally rounds out The Swooshes celebration of Latin Heritage Month.
