BAIT, Astroboy, And Reebok Converge Once Again For A Collaborative Collection

BAIT, Astroboy, And Reebok Converge Once Again For A Collaborative Collection

Manga and basketball hold a special kinship. Whether its the hundreds of professional hoopers who have acknowledged their fandom for various anime’s to their customized on-court PE’s painted with everything from One-Piece to Naruto, Reebok is taking advantage of the obscure connection for the final time this year.

Following the brands team-up with BAIT and Tezuka Productions’ Astro Boy for the collaborative Reebok Instapump Fury this past May, the trio of cohort’s are conjoining once again for a Reebok Instapump Fury Zone proposition alongside the Shawn Kemp-stamped Reebok Hurrikaze II – formerly known as the Kamikaze.

Centering the retooled Instapump model on a crisp white base, the colorless mudguard, midfoot and heel render both a color and textile match along the cracked leather tongue – which enjoys BAIT branding – while the sole unit underfoot is further brightened by way of a semi-translucent jade hue. Utilizing glow in the dark details throughout, a jet-black patent leather employs across air-filled overlays showcasing an original 3M blueprint graphic of the Mighty Atom whereas a titular red lining shadows the aforementioned panels.

A flipped ensemble is instead chosen to outfit the Reebok Hurrikaze II, coating the laser-etched graphics of its leather overlays in a “Core Black” build on the outer side, whereas its medial renders “Vector Red” on the right and a “Glen Green” sampling on the left. Indulging in a neutrally toned base, “Soft Ecru” bears the entirety of the perforated upper while murdered-out Astro Boy logos come affixed to the heel tabs above red and green heel treads.

Releasing this Friday, November 18th for a retail price of $200 and $180, respectively, at BAITMe.com and all 10 US Chapter Stores, in the meantime enjoy official images of the Reebok x BAIT x Astro Boy collaborative basketball collection below.
