The Reebok Instapump Fury and Club C Stomper have carved out die-hard audiences of their own over the last few decades. Recently, the Japan-headquartered BAIT and Astro Boy have crash-landed on pairs of both iconic silhouettes for a three-way collaboration perfect for those at the intersection of sport, fashion and manga.
A departure from BAIT’s “East West” capsule with the England-founded company from 2021, the upcoming duo covers the decades-old designs in all-over details. The Steven Smith-designed Instapump Fury indulges in a glossy patent leather build that features a series of cogs, wheels, tubes and other lab-appropriate equipment printed onto it. By contrast, the tennis-informed Club C Stomper boasts an off-white ensemble accompanied by schematic of the titular Astro Boy. Together, both sneakers by BAIT keep both Reebok and the manga’s heritage intact, utilizing an unmistakeable blueprint graphic that is fully glow-in-the-dark.
