When the adidas NMD S1 was initially unveiled, a simplistic duo of clad white and black iterations welcomed the future-forward silhouette to the Three-Stipes extensive slate of offerings. And while the Pharrell-consulted model remains less than a year into its infancy, a murdered-out pairing of monochromatic ensembles now returns to take hold of the “nomad” effort once again.
Lying in stark contrast to the recently unveiled “Triple White” aesthetic, the darkened colorway mirrors that of its recycled “Made To Be Remade” model through a woven contrast placed along the heel tab. Disparate from the “Altered Blue” accents and seldom “Core White” midfoot panel of its most recent proposition, the only references of non-black hues render a seldom “Cloud White” sample along the sock liners NMD branding and “Grey Four” stitched shades amidst the laces. The remaining embellishments, including its adaptive knit upper, BOOST cushioned midsole and trefoil-littered tread indulge in an all-out “Core Black” ensemble, plugging the once light blue midsole pucks with jet-black features.
