Updated July 12th, 2023: A SNKRS Shock Drop is expected at 2pm EST on July 12th, 2023.

Storytelling has been a key component to the success of the Air Jordan series since its inception in 1985. Come summer, the line’s “UNC to CHI” concept lands on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG.
Inspired by a young Michael Jordan’s move from the University of North Carolina to Chicago, the theme has previously graced other signature sneakers. The newly-surfaced low-top keeps all detailing related to the concept in tact, with “Dark Powder Blue” and “Gym Red” flair animating the heel, sidewall swooshes, and toe box. Smooth and tumbled leather, then, divvy up remaining panels across the upper, as did the Air Jordan 1 from February 2020 that helped popularize the NCAA to NBA story. Underfoot, the sole unit keeps things simple with the midsole cushioning favoring a plan “White” look. Outsoles make one final nod to the Chicago Bulls with their ruby-colored finish.
Enjoy a brief look at the women’s retro ahead, as you wait for a Nike SNKRS launch come July.
