Reviving the 3-Stripes archival running style from the early 2000s, last May saw the debut of the adidas Orketro. Alongside a handful of collaborative efforts via the hand of Sean Wotherspoon and a selective slate of general releases, the silhouettes sequel has been unearthed in a “Core White” and striking grey colorway.
Exploring curved overlays as opposed to its contemporary’s linear embellishments, the summer-ready ensemble looks to an iridescent silver finish that consumes its textile upper and tongue construction. Amplifying the greyscale effect with darkened forefoot stripes, the pair’s surrounding and equally dominant overlays construct a crisp white contrast that bleeds onto the adiPRENE cushioning system underfoot. While “Core Black” and grey mesh inserts at the heel and medial mid-foot provide added breathability, the revamped sole unit additionally boasts a torsional plate affixed with a nubbed tread underfoot.
Currently available overseas in Europe, enjoy official images of the adidas Orketro 2.0 “Core White/Grey” below as we await news regarding a stateside release.
In other news, APB has revealed its first official collaboration with The Swoosh, featuring the FAMU x Nike LeBron 20 in both “Ivory” and vibrant “Orange” colorways.
