Floral applications are no stranger to footwear. For the upcoming “All Petals United” collection, Nike is going the abstract route via a newly designed emblem, a mixture of textured materials, and eclectic color-blocking to communicate the flower-power theme.
Seen in a similarly crafted Air Force 1 “All Petals United”, this Air Max 1 doesn’t shy away from the detailing. It makes use of a “Master” like construction on the mudguard, with swatches of alternating suede and thorned pinstriped fabric adorning the rear. A multi-colored mini-Swoosh logo is placed at the forefoot to mimic the random rainbow of colors, while the united flower petals are pinned on the tongue as well as the lace-lock. A special text-laden tag is seen on the insole, displaying the “All Petals United” message, which promotes unity and togetherness.
Currently, the Nike “All Petals United” collection is expected to release this Fall season; see the official images ahead for a detailed look.
