Michael Le As 2023 has progressed, the New Balance 580 has slowly incorporated less and less color. It’s latest release — the “Nimbus Cloud” — makes no attempts to change this, and is certainly among one of the silhouette’s most versatile colorways yet.
If not for the seldom hits of “Natural Indigo,” which paint the “N” logo as well as adjacent branding, this New Balance 580 would be entirely devoid of color. “Nimbus Cloud” is used almost comprehensively, painting not only the mesh inserts and tongue but also the suede that runs the length of the shoe. White midsoles, then, round out the package alongside a series of silver accents and trims.
