The New Balance 991 is years removed from its milestone 20th anniversary, but it’s continuously emerged in new color schemes.
Ahead of summer, the Made in UK silhouette has emerged in a clean, near-uniform arrangement. “Star White” and “Flint Grey” colors come together across the premium upper. Logos and supporting accents throughout the forefoot and heel take on darker tones, while their surroundings boast a lighter, heritage-reminiscent hue. Achilles’ Heel panels introduce a “cracked” aesthetic into the mix, perhaps as a nod to the “Neo-vintage” trend that’s overtaken sneakers over the last three years. Underfoot, however, the New Balance design features a clean, grayscale sole unit that complements the upper.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a newbalance.com launch on June 22nd.
