Following the athlete’s unfortunate passing back in 2020, the future of Kobe Bryant’s long-running partnership with Nike was unclear, as Vanessa Bryant had plenty of reason to be upset with the Swoosh. The two would thankfully reconcile in 2022, thus greenlighting a drove of different projects and releases, from the return of The Kobe Brand to the official debut of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch.”
While the style was confirmed to be releasing at the beginning of 2023, rumors of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” hitting the shelves have been floating around as early 2021. Now, after over two years of anticipation, the pair is finally releasing later this December, boasting the inverse of the sixth signature’s iconic “Grinch” colorway. From its midsole to the scales of its upper, this upcoming pair is dressed almost entirely in “Bright Crimson,” complementing the seldom hits of “Electric Green” along the laces, branding, and the Kobe signature inscribed along the heel.
Complete with a blacked-out Swoosh, the Nike Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch” is slated to help close out 2023 on Dec. 16th. As we eagerly await its release, enjoy a closer look at the shoe via the retailer imagery shared ahead.
In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 1 KO Low Bred have surfaced.
