Michael Le nanamica and PUMA teamed up for the very first time back in 2022, dressing the Suede VTG in two understated, weather resistant colorways. Now, almost an entire year thereafter, the Japanese label is rejoining the footwear brand to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Clyde.
In addition to PUMA, nanamica has joined forces with New Balance, Reebok, and even Converse Japan, bringing a similar approach to the brands’ respective icons. Their take on the Clyde fits right in amidst the rest of the catalog, boasting improvements beyond the usual GORE-TEX upgrade. The lace unit, for example, has been slightly reworked: alongside forgoing exterior eyelets, the eyestays have been slightly heightened to aid the shoe’s overall water resistance.
Complete with subtle co-branding along the insoles, the nanamica x PUMA Clyde GTX will be available on August 18th in both “Black” and “White.” As we await their debut, enjoy a look at both colorways via the retailer imagery added ahead.
