Who says work shoes can’t be fly? Obviously not Nike. Having just debuted in December of last year, the new Lunar Roam runner looks set to receive its first all-black colorway, a perfect uniform for everything from retail work to dressed-up looks. This comes just after news of an upcoming gold/white Lunar Roam colorway emerged, suggesting Nike is ready to adopt a more consistent release schedule for its newest runner.

The standout feature of the Lunar Roam is its full-length Lunarlon Foam midsole, which appears with less frequency today than in the 2000s as sneaker technology has advanced. Even still, it’s perfectly suitable for all-day comfort. Up top, the base of the shoe is constructed of mesh material, with TPU accents on the toe and heel providing an added layer of durability and performance benefit. While the shoe’s Y2K aesthetics don’t present themselves loudly on this colorway, Flywire threads laid over the Swoosh and heel serve as a subtle nod to the design inspiration behind the build.

In other news, the Nike Air Max DN is set to debut on Air Max Day this year.
