Jordan Brand Unveils The Italian-Made Wings Collection

Jordan Brand has officially announced the Wings Collection, an Italian-made assortment of footwear, apparel, an accessories that reflect the absolute pinnacle of Air Jordan prestige. This capsule surpasses anything the brand has ever executed, bringing new meaning to luxury in the world of athletic footwear.

First up is the Air Jordan 1 — the legacy builder. As the most ubiquitous an recognizable Air Jordan shoe ever created, Jordan Brand cleanses the palette by offering up clean white and sharp black executions of the Air Jordan 1 ’85 (in both High and Low). Each upper is hand-stitched by Italian artisans and features 3-layer hand-painted leather edges. Heavy satin lines the interior for elegance and comfort, while the sockliner is a poured polyurethane that conforms to the foot.

Basketball is at focus for the apparel collection; hoodies, track-suits, varsity jackets, and even shorts comprise this elevated take on MJ gear, each crafted with cashmere wool blens, buttery lambskins, premium fleeces, and more. No detail has gone overlooked either as the sweater, inspired by a basketball net, is hand-stitched by Italian artisans for over seven hours.

For the accessories portion of the collection, the iconic Wings emblem served as an inspiration for the pieces, whether it be as a pattern or its dimensions. The calf-skin purse, for example, mirrors the silhouette of the logo, while the mark itself covers the pashmina throw.

Jordan Brand has confirmed that the entire Wings collection will be dropping this month exclusively in Beijing. Future release information hasn’t been announced yet, but stay tuned for updates on our Jordan Release Dates page.
