adidas Crazy 1 “Cream White” Gets Soft Lakers Accents

A tasteful nod to the gold & purple.

adidas Crazy 1 “Cream White” Gets Soft Lakers Accents

Though the bulk of his footwear continues on through Nike, the shadow of Kobe Bryant shoes still very much influences adidas’ basketball output. The adidas Crazy IIINFINITY and MAD IIINFINITY are the forward-thinking manifestation of that, but new drops for the Crazy 8 and Crazy 1 continue the line’s origins. Now, the adidas Crazy 1 “Cream White” provides a summery look for Bryant’s first signature.

The neutral shade that lends these their name is pretty comprehensive, dressing the textile exterior shell and the outsole. As you work inside, the shoe eases into “Light Neutral Grey,” continuing the conservative color choices. However, Laker Nation should pay close attention to the sock lining, tongue and the heel, where the “Purple & Gold” shows itself in a vibrant yet slight expression. It’s a fitting metaphor relating to plans for the model in general- though it may not carry Bryant’s name any longer, its impossible to separate Bean’s legacy from the blocky, futuristic model.

The adidas Crazy 1 “Cream White” releases on May 1st, retailing for $150. You can find direct links for drop day under “Where To Buy,” and official images just below.

Sticking with the Three Stripes, the adidas Harden Vol. 8 “Blue Fusion” shapes up for a simultaneous drop on May 1st.
