It’s been almost a full calendar year since we’ve seen KITH collaborate on a New Balance MADE In USA shoe, dating back to last November’s Madison Square Garden 990v6 duo, but it appears that will change in the near future. In typical Ronnie Fieg fashion, the NYC streetwear maven recently teased an upcoming KITH x New Balance 990v4 on social media.
Consistent with several other KITH x New Balance projects, the design resembles a tasteful upgrade from your standard, general release 990v4. Taken with a mesh base and high-quality MADE In USA suede, KITH opts for a monochrome arrangement centered around the Boston brand’s hallmark grey shade. It’s not exactly a neck-breaker, but KITH’s New Balance shoes of this simple, contemporary kind have proven to be highly sought-after. Notably, the greyscale KITH x 990v3 “Tornado” from 2021 hovers around $500 on the aftermarket.
The upcoming KITH x New Balance 990v4 doesn’t have a release date yet, but looks poised to arrive sometime during the Fall/Winter 2024 shopping seasons. Stick with us for further updates over the coming weeks.
