First re-issued in 2020 and then again in 2023, the Nike Dunk Low “St. Johns” is getting tapped once again for Holiday 2024, this time comprised of sustainable Next Nature materials.
Before Dunks became oversaturated and non-hyped, 2020’s “Be True To Your School” retro wave had sneakerheads in a frenzy. Originally released as college-inspired high-tops in 1985, each colorway was met with extraordinary demand and sold out almost instantly, encouraging an uptick in Dunk Low production that’s admittedly backfired in retrospect. The Dunk Low “St. John’s” goes for about retail on the aftermarket today (due to the 2023 restock), but prices topped out at around $500 in 2021. That’s not only indicative of the current lackluster reselling scene, but Nike’s overpaid attention to the Dunk Low specifically in recent years.
In any case, if you’ve yet to add the Dunk Low “St. John’s” to your collection, look for these to hit shelves during the Holiday 2024 shopping season for $115.
Sticking with the model at hand, the What The Duck Dunks are releasing via a Flight Club raffle following a failed in-store launch in NYC.
