The Nike Hachi makes a grand debut this Summer as a casual, lifestyle-driven sneaker aimed to combine contemporary fashion and Nike heritage. The Hachi (Japanese for ‘bee’), draws inspiration from the Nike Sting running shoe of 1976, adopting the vintage runner’s one-piece toe-box and molded eyelets. The upper materials are also reminiscent of Nike’s earlier runners, as the Hachi utilizes a vintage suede, nylon, and leather materials. The vulcanized midsole also features a honeycombed toe bumper, fitting of the Hachi name. It’s a best-of-both-worlds combination of vintage and street-conscious fashion, and you can expect this sleek new design to hit Nike Sportswear retailers soon.
