While the Lakers have been pretty hot in recent years, Phil Jackson hasn’t always lived in Los Angeles and been around the Lakers’ bench. 17 years ago, back in 1991, Phil Jackson was coaching Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, who wound up defeating the Lakers to pick up another NBA Title. To commemorate the Bulls’ victory over the Lakers, Jordan Brand has cooked up a Lakers version of the Air Jordan 6 Rings to go along with the other five shoes in their Championship pack. The shoe comes in a White/Court Purple-Taxi-Silver, with a white and purple sole, a white patent leather layer on the bottom of the upper and a laser design around the rest of the upper featuring the Lakers’s colors. Also like the other members of the Championship pack, these LA 6 Rings won’t hit stores until January 2009, but you can pick them up now over at OSneaker.
