Last Friday was the official release of the Ronnie Fieg x Asics GT-II, and the sneakerhead response was “overwhelming”, as described by Fieg himself. By the time the doors at David Z. in SoHo, NY opened, the line was 60+ deep, and as a gesture of appreciation for those who waited the long and hard hours, Ronnie Fieg hooked up his supporters with some sustenance in the form of breakfast sandwiches. The shoes, which feature a buttery royal blue suede with ‘ultra marine’ Asics insignia, sold out immediately, and with news from Ronnie Fieg himself that the GT-II would be the penultimate Asics collab release at David Z., the long wait was certainly worth it. Check out the quick release recap below, with Ronnie Fieg, Theophilus London, and many more after the jump and if you missed out on the GT-II, pick up a pair now on eBay.
