The latest Puma collaboration takes its theme from a guy opening a computer case and finding a dead rodent inside. Really. That is, after all, the story of how Joel Zimmerman became known as deadmau5, a name he chose to fit the 8-character limit after becoming infamous on IRC. deadmau5 has gone on to achieve quite a bit of success in the electronic music world, working his way up to some mainstream exposure as the house DJ for last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. That mainstream push continues with the new deadmau5 x Puma collection, Puma First Round hightops and Dallas lows given the flattened-Mickey touch.
